Savannah, Georgia
A guide to Savannah restaurants, shops, annual events and festivals held throughout the year.
Savannah, a coastal Georgia city, is separated from South Carolina by the Savannah River. It's known for manicured parks, horse-drawn carriages and antebellum architecture. Its historic district is filled with cobblestoned squares and parks such as Forsyth Park shaded by oak trees covered with Spanish moss. At the center of this picturesque district is the landmark, Gothic-Revival Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist.
We've compiled a brief list of annual events and festivals in Savannah, as well as a few introductory videos and an interactive map of local Savannah restaurants and shops. Savannah is a foodie's paradise with excellent casual and fine dining options, all located downtown within walking distance from each other. Or take a carriage tour or guided trolley tour of the historic district and learn more about this charming Southern town that is just a quick jaunt from Tybee Island.

Tybee Island has miles of expansive beaches that can stretch for as far as the eye can see at low tide. Tybee high tide has ample beach for body surfing and our low tide expands the beach to hundreds of yards wide to allow for
bicycling and
paddle sports. The five miles of beach are wide and clean, with gentle waves and warm water, and granite sand that is perfect for making sandcastles. There are five major beaches on Tybee, including South Beach, Mid Beach, North Beach, Savannah River Beach, and Back River Beach. Be sure to check out our
local tides chart and weather forecast before heading out.
